I feel very offended by Mr Samuel Wong 's GP lecture today when he said that the sales person in a Switzerland Swatch shop was graduated from BeiJing University; because she could not find a job in China.
I strongly believe that by making such kind of remark, Mr Wong has demonstrated how naive his thought is to be as a GP teacher, i have no doubt on the fact that it is very difficult to find a job in China, but i am very sure that being graduated from one of the top universities in China, it is guaranteed you can find a job. I vehemently believe that this lady has chosen to work in Switzerland is because the stronger currency of the Euro compare to the local currency, which means she's earning a much higher amount when she converts the money back to RMB.
Beijing University is not an any-how university, it is one of the most prestige university in China,
there are a number of Singapore students are currently studying there. By making this remark, it is equivalent to saying a Harvard graduate is unable to find a decent job USA, Mr Wong has shown the arrogance of a Singaporean by looking down on a prestige university in China.
On top of that, he has also shown how simplistic and naive he is as a GP teacher, he has taken the lady's words at face value due to his arrogance, this could translate to the inability of analysing a given issue critically and practically, which lowers the credit of his arguments.
I would want to live longer...
